This year one thing I have noticed from watching the events, it seems like defense doesn't have much of a roll in the qualifiers, but plays a huge roll in the finals - the clear example for me was when Duct Tape Dragons basically steam rolled over the offensive teams in the finals at week 1 and changed the entire dynamic of the match.
I curious to see how we prepare for 125 and 1519 who will be coming in with high accurate shooters that can effective shoot from outworks. As a state, finding a defense strategy that can neutralize them may be critical - and any team that can stop them seems like it will be highly valued in the section process. We are looking into adding a clear fabric "wall" attachment (or fishing line net) that gets us up to the 4'6" for the matches we have against them. But I am curious to see if others have ideas as well.
